I invented an Alertness Monitor, US Patent NO. 6, 167, 298. It monitors brain waves and keeps the user ALERT and VIGILANT. Deaths and economic losses will be prevented. Prototypes are underway. Pilots, truck drivers, etc. will benefit, as will all of us. We will take control of the machines that sometimes take control of us, preventing catastrophic accidents, related to fatigue, and the the National Sleep Debt. Richard Levin MD, San Diego, CA.

The Alertness Monitor is a tiny headset, run by a dc battery and microprocessor. It differs from past EEG-based devices that failed, in the use of ratios of brain wave (EEG) frequencies. Importantly, it works!
