A new wireless charger that charges mobile phones with
ambient Wi-Fi signals has been gaining a lot of buzz in the tech world. The invention actively searches for Wi-Fi
from any network or wireless hotspot and converts the signals into energy, which
is then stored in the charger’s internal battery. The RCA Airnergy, which was on display at the
Consumer Electronics Show (CES), can charge a Blackberry Smartphone at 30% to
100% charge in under two hours. Soon, it will be able to charge other mobile
devices, including laptops. Very glad it doesn’t require us to slide our feet
across a carpet for hours…
Fantastic wireless charger!
